It’s OK to feel vulnerable


“I am terrified of feeling vulnerable.

I try to hide and even deny my insecurities and weaknesses.

But the more I hide behind the mask of perfection, the further I am from being my authentic self.

Yes, vulnerability is an uncomfortable feeling.

Which is why I need to remind myself to accept it – just the way I would accept any pleasant feeling…

..because the way out of feeling vulnerable is not denial. The way out is accepting the chinks in my armour, and loving myself anyway.”

If you are feeling vulnerable, remind yourself that vulnerability does not make you weak. It only makes you human.
